Mike G rolls out a new joint for his #MikeGMondays series. With some help from his fellow Golf Wang hooligans Hodgy Beats and Taco, they put their own touch on Trinidad James "I Need Mo" which originally appeared on XXL's Freshmen Mixtape, produced by Atlanta's very own SMKA. Trinidad James tweeted about the collision between Odd Future and Gold Gang last month and now here it is!

Noisey: What was it about Trinidad James' "I Need Mo" that made you want to remix it?

Mike G: I heard the song on the XXL mixtape; the beat was crazy. I had a feeling it would go under the radar. I put some things together with the help of DDotOmen, then put my friends on it. It's an entertaining track.

You didn't want to be the 500th artist to remix "All Gold Everything"?
I didn't even like that song at first. I remember when Taco showed me the video – it was cool. I knew it would grow on everyone. I like the remix with T.I., Jeezy, and 2 Chainz.

In keeping with the "I Need Mo" theme...what would you say you need more of?
I would say "I Need Mo" everything! Ha, I'm always looking for better.

Freddie Gibbs's Music Video for "Have You Seen Her" (Prod. SMKA) drops TOMORROW

SMKA produced track 8, "Have You Seen Her" ft. Hit Screwface.  ESGN dropped a couple weeks ahead of schedule (July 9th) after an error with the distribution company leaked the album.  This is Gibbs' first project after leaving CTE and Jeezy, and is sure to cement Gibbs' status as one of the realest rappers in the game.  SMKA has been involved in Gibbs' last two projects.  Over the last couple years 808 Blake (of SMKA) & Gibbs have developed great chemistry in the lab and will continue to work together in the future.

Freddie Gibbs MTV interview on 'ESGN'

MTV: You also have SMKA producing on the album with the song "Have U Seen Her."

Freddie Gibbs: Yeah, man, that's just me meeting them by running through the industry doing my thing. I met them in Atlanta and we started knocking out tracks. Since then they're always involved in my projects. They're definitely one of the best production teams in the game.
