T.I. Named Global Creative Consultant Of Rémy Martin Cognac

Rapper T.I. was officially named Global Creative Consultant of the Rémy Martin Cognac brand today (June 29th). Under teams of the deal, T.I. will work to help with promotions, merchandising and digital media campaigns for a variety of the Rémy Martin cognac marques. The rapper has already started offering creative input towards Rémy Martin's "Things are Getting Interesting" campaign. Rémy Martin will help T.I expand his K.I.N.G. Foundation by providing funds to the non-profit, which helps low income families through a variety of community-oriented programs. "T.I. is a powerful voice in the entertainment world as a recording artist, actor and producer. And Rémy Martin recognizes the similarities between the art of producing fine cognacs and blending music and words to create hit songs," said Lamar Johnson, Director of Marketing and Branded Entertainment, Rémy Cointreau USA, Inc. Rémy Martin and T.I. will work jointly to market and promote a new signature blend of the premium brand Rémy Martin V.S.O.P., which the rapper developed on a trip to the company's headquarters.

Fat Joe Cleared Of Sexual Assault Accusation

Police in Madison, Wisconsin have officially closed an investigation into Fat Joe and his entourage, over sexual assault allegations. A 33-year-old woman claimed that Fat Joe and men in his entourage groped her inside of the rapper's Cadillac limousine, as they prepared to leave The Orpheum Theater last Sunday (June 20^th). According to a lawyer for Fat Joe, the rapper was the real victim in the case, since he never touched the woman and never had contact with her. Police questioned for Fat Joe for a few minutes in his hotel room and was never detained by the police. "Making a false claim of a sexual nature in order to extort money is one of the most horrific accusations because it not only tarnishes reputations but has the potential to destroy families," Fat Joe's lawyer Dawn Florio Esq. said in a statement. "Mr. Cartagena wholeheartedly thanks his family, friends, and fans for their continued support, loyalty, and words of encouragement throughout this ordeal."

Drake Talk's Success, Rihanna, Lil Kim & More in New AllHipHop.com Interview

Toronto rap star Drake recently sat down with AllHipHop.com to discuss a number of matters, including the success of his debut album Thank Me Later, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart this week. The rapper moved 446,680 units during his opening week, giving him the third biggest opening week of the year, behind Lady Antebellum's Need You Now (481,000) and Sade's Soldier of Love (502,000). "First of all, I'm humbled by everything. It hasn't really set in. It hasn't really registered," Drake told AllHipHop.com. "You know, we don't do too much celebrating, but I'm just thinking about the next win." Drake also spoke at length about Rihanna, Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj, his critics and plans for his new album. "Next album who knows, I think maybe next album we can do the release concert in Dubai and I will jump off a building and land into the back of a [Rolls Royce] Drophead Phantom," Drake told AllHipHop.com.
