He was among the first rappers to harness the power of social media to sell more records than anyone believed he had the right to. Today, his influence still looms large. He's credited as a songwriter on one of the biggest pop albums of the year, Beyonce's Lemonade. And just a few months ago, he tweeted about what may or may not be a $400 million deal.
