Rhymefest To Drop El Che Independently In May

Grammy Award winning rapper Rhymefest has announced a May date for his sophomore album, El Che. The album will hit stores on dN/Be Entertainment/Rosehip Records, with distribution handled by EMI records. Rhymefest is the flagship artist for dN/Be Entertainment and has severed recording ties with Mark Ronson’s Allido Records, which released his debut effort, Blue Collar LP with distribution from Interscope. "I wanted to be somewhere that not only appreciates artistry, lyricism, and originality, but also serves a greater purpose in Hip-Hop and the Black community,” Rhymefest said in a statement. The rapper’s new 16-track album features production by Scram Jones, BKS, Terry Hunter, S1 and guest appearances by Glen Lewis, Saigon, Little Brother and Twone Gabz.
