De La Soul MCs Plug 1 & Plug 2 are set to present "First Serve," what they are calling "a dynamic Hip-Hop group, an album, a concept, the soundtrack to a movie that has yet to be made and a fable for our times." The Native Tongue alums are retelling their story in the form of a newly created group under the "First Serve" concept – spolighting how, "after years of laying down demos and mixtapes on the hustle in the Hip-Hop game," the fictional duo of Jacob and Deen have been signed to a label, set to become "the next big thing." Taking place in an animated world that could have been imagined by Hawley Pratt on Magic Mushrooms, the high spirited and often hilarious journey is pure old school Hip-Hop; skits, disco, beats, funk, quips, burns, and hustlin' all included. The album is set to release April 2 on Duck Down Music in North America.
