Ludacris Teams With MLB For Civil Rights Game Week Performance

Atlanta rapper Ludacris has been tapped to be the headlining performer for the 2011 Civil Rights Game Week. The Civil Rights Game Week is a four-day event sponsored by MLB and the Atlanta Braves, taking place from May 12th-15th. Organizers told AllHipHop.com that the game is meant to pay tribute to all of those who have fought on and off the field for equal rights for all Americans. Ludacris and a special guest will host a one-hour performance that will take place following the day's game between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies. "I'm a fan of baseball, and I am honored to be a part of MLB's family and tradition of being a pioneering organization for civil rights, social justice and equality," Ludacris told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today (March 24th).
