G-Unit member Lloyd Banks won a major victory in court last week (July 15th), when an Ontario judge dismissed criminal charges against the Queens, New York rapper. The charges stemmed from an incident in January of 2010, when Lloyd Banks, born Christopher Lloyd and a group of men allegedly assaulted Chris Hines, a well known booking agent in Ontario, Canada. Banks and several other men were accused of assaulting Hines at Club NV, just outside of Ontario. Hines claimed that Banks and several other men held him hostage in a hotel room and assaulted him for over 20 minutes. Last week, Justice Michael Epstein dismissed all charges relating to the January incident, which sparked headlines around the world. "Banks would like to thank his Canadian counsel, Patrick Ducharme, and the authorities in Ontario for doing 'the right thing," Banks' United States lawyer, Scott Leemon ESQ., told AllHipHop.com. "After a careful and neutral evaluation of the facts, it is good to see that the system actually worked," Leemon stated. "With this finally behind him, Banks looks forward to coming back to Canada soon."
