Men Arrested For Protesting Lil Wayne & Boosie Sentences

The New Orleans Police Department arrested six men yesterday (November 30th) during a protest to free incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie and to contest Lil Wayne’s one-year jail sentence. According to the Times-Picayune, off duty police officers saw the men spray painting the words ‘Free Lil Wayne’ on the side of a building. The same men also placed a banner on another street calling for authorities to free Lil Wayne and Lil Boosie. The group of men also used police barricades and garbage cans to halt traffic on one street during the short lived protest. The suspects fled when officers arrived on the scene, but all six men were quickly apprehended after a brief chase. The men were charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest by flight and criminal damage to property.
